During her childhood, many of the children the same as her age enjoyed carefree teenage years. But she had to be very independent very early in her life. Her mother died when she was 11 years old and she had to quit school after her 6th grade to work as a seamtress to support her five siblings while living with her maternal grandparents.
In October 1989, Phi Nhung came to United States through the Amerasian Resettlement Program and lived with her aunt in Tampa Florida. But she soon moved out to live on her own, and working in a restaurant as a waitress and also she working as a seamtress.
Phi Nhung learn to sing when she as a early age, many lullabies and folk songs to sing to her younger sisters and brothers sleep. As a result, she had developed her singing skills.
She began her singing career when she met Trizzie Phuong Trinh in Florida and Trizzie convince Phi Nhung to moved to California to begin singing. At first, there are so many struggling, she almost want to quit and moved back to Florida but luckily, Huong Lan who is the one convince her to keep trying and never gave up her dream. Because Huong Lan is her childhood idol. Huong Lan helped Phi Nhung getting into recording many CD and performer.
Recently, Phi Nhung has won the hearts of many people who love musics and has built quite a following for herself. But, Phi Nhung still remained shy and soft spoken as she emerges in to the spotlight of stardom. Her appearanance in Hollywood Video 15, where she sang Song Que for May Production as marked the turning point of her career according to Phi Nhung. Now, she has contract with many production companies like Thuy Nga Paris By Night, Tinh, Van Son, and Asia.
In 1996, he appearance in lives show in New Orleans. Currently, he sign contract with NDBD music production. The contract expired every 3 years period, and had release over 30 CD's in just three years period. He release his new CD's every 2 month.
Manh Quynh was born in Saigon, Vietnam in
April 22 of 1972, and he was only child in the family. In 1992, he
and his mom came to United State adn settle down in Minnesota. He finish
High School and had 2 years of education in music.
Now, he currently contract with many music production like Tinh, Van Son, Thuy Nga, and Asia. Like Phi Nhung, he is also capture many of music lover. Now, Manh Quynh and Phi Nhung are the most talent Vietnamese singers and have many people love their music.
Phi Nhung and Manh Quynh are currently singing together in many different video. Like in Paris By Night, they sing a song "CAN NHA MAU TIM" and then in Tinh Music video, they in "LAN & DIEP". Then also in Tinh Music Video, they also singing together, it will release soon.
